For those seeking a more "correct" form of lighting for their Living History, these candles are of the quality found in taverns, inns and fine homes of the 18th Century.
Having been rendered from beef suet (rather than pork) the tallow in these candles releases little-to-no smoke. The suet is boiled for 5 long hours, producing a firm, pure tallow which aids in providing a longer burning time. (7-10 hours per 9" candle).
